From The Principal
The following reflection comes out of the mouth of one of our younger students.
I love God, he takes good care of me.
I know that God loves everyone.
He made us to live.
God is the King
God made the world.
We all love God.
How beautiful it is when we see things through another’s’ eyes; especially those of a little child.
Recently also I came across the following words of wisdom. Words, which I will carry around with me as they ring true to my life experiences!
Listen not only with your ears, See not only with your eyes, BUT also with your heart!
Powerful words with powerful messages! Jesus often speaks to us in powerful words. Words so powerful that it can be a daunting experience to follow His call. Just how well do we listen to His call and take it seriously? Being present to our faith is a life-long experience, not just something to be done on Sundays. The challenge is – do we?
Principal's Messages
FAMILIES LEAVING | As our total enrolment drives many aspects of our school (staffing, budget, class sizes and structure) it is important that we try to be as accurate as possible in predicting the school enrolment for 2023. If you know that you will be leaving at the end of the year, could you please notify the office as soon as possible? Your assistance with this matter is greatly appreciated.
SIGNING CHILDREN IN LATE | A reminder please that if students are arriving to school late (after 8.35am) then they must be signed in at the office by a parent. There are a number of children coming into the office to sign themselves in which is not acceptable.

DONATION OF SUPPLIES
As the end of the school year draws to a close, we thought it would be timely to take a few things off your hands before the holidays. Any donations of calculators or Year 6 Bibles would be greatly appreciated as we endeavour to build class sets of these resources. Please send a note to your classroom teacher if you wish to donate these items and we’ll send them to the Library, to be catalogued. Thanks so much for your support.
The Good News

The Feast of Christ the King was introduced to the liturgical calendar by Pope Pius XI in 1925. The establishment of the feast took place in a world that had suffered through the First World War and was unknowingly heading towards the Second World War. In this setting, the world was experiencing a dramatic growth in secularism and an even more dramatic growth in dictators who were rising to power in various states. The introduction of the feast was a call back from the secular and a call to remember Christ as having authority above and beyond any earthly leader.
The gospel of Luke is underlined by a message of hope for those who are afflicted, outcast and poor. In this gospel, the message and ministry of Jesus are directed specifically to these lowly ones. The significance of the role played by the poor is highlighted by the framing of the whole narrative in this gospel: the birth of Jesus is celebrated by shepherds and his death is accompanied by criminals. Shepherds and criminals – two classes of people on the absolute fringe of society; not dignitaries or wise men from afar – are witness to the birth and death of Jesus
In response to the criminal’s faith, Jesus assures him, ‘today you will be with me in paradise’. There is a certainty and immediacy about the response. Jesus does not tell him that some time in the future he will be rewarded for his faith. No, it is today that the criminal will join Jesus in paradise. It is an expression of the welcome and inclusion that Jesus has extended to the outsider and undervalued throughout his ministry.
It is a clear indication that the Kingdom of God that Jesus has worked to bring about is a kingdom of inclusion and welcome.
