PRAYERS PLEASE | By now some of you may have heard that Mrs H's husband, Mick was diagnosed with a brain tumour in the last few days of school. He has been in excellent care since being diagnosed. Incredibly and this is due to the way Mick has approached this whole 'journey', he is also in excellent spirits. Yesterday the brain tumour was removed and we now ask for prayers for a good and speedy recovery. Mrs H is also in good spirits.

St Anne's Board 2021
It has been another interesting and rewarding year for St Anne’s Board Members. So many changes to embrace at the moment and the Board’s collective wisdom model has been instrumental in assisting the strategic direction of our school. We are well resourced in terms of student population and the corresponding educational assets. We have reviewed policies and procedures, school resourcing and the Catholic Ethos of school. Remote learning has been a contemporary issue; and diocesan response and leadership in this space has assisted locally. The Board has participated in leadership and student welfare education and responded to the needs of the school community.
Going forward, we have positions to fill in the Board Membership and I encourage all in our parent/guardian community here at St Anne’s to consider membership. There is a discernment selection process and training provided. However I will add that if you have an ability to appreciate the bigger picture, and want great outcomes for our St Anne’s education community, a role on the Board is for you. It is fulfilling and a positive contribution to your student’s experience at St Anne’s. Your consideration of these positions is appreciated.
On a personal note, this is my final tenure as Board Chair of St Anne’s. It has been both rewarding and challenging, and my thanks is due to both Mr Ballinger-Oches who provides considered and spiritual leadership, and fellow board members, who as a team, have strived to make a positive difference.
Blessings to all for a Happy Festive Season.
Brigid Fenech - Board Chair
