From The Principal
Imagine there is a bank that credits your account each morning with $86 400.00. It carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening it deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out every cent, of course!!!
Each of us has a bank. Its name is TIME.
Every morning it credits you with 86400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the remains of the day. If you fail to use the day’s deposits, the loss is yours.
There is no going back. There is no drawing against the ‘tomorrow’. You must live in the present on today’s deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success. This clock is running. Make the most of today.
To realise the value of one year, ask a student who failed a grade.
To realise the value of one month, as a mother who gave birth to a premature baby.
To realise the value of one week, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.
To realise the value of one hour, ask the couple who are waiting to meet.
To realise the value of one minute, ask a person who missed a train.
To realise the value of one second, ask a person who just avoided an accident.
To realise the value of one millisecond, ask the person who won a silver medal in the Olympics
Treasure every moment you have! And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time. Remember, that time waits for no one.
Yesterday is History!
Tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift
That is why they call it the present!
We wish you all a safe and happy break and that you return to us rested.

FAMILIES LEAVING | As our total enrolment drives many aspects of our school (staffing, budget, class sizes and structure) it is important that we try to be as accurate as possible in predicting the school enrolment for 2026. If you know that you will be leaving at the end of the year, could you please notify the office as soon as possible? Your assistance with this matter is greatly appreciated.
Term 4 Dates | Term 4 starts Tuesday 7th October, due to the public holiday on the Monday, and is a 9 week term concluding Friday the 5th December.
PRAYERS PLEASE | Please keep in your prayers all those in our school community who are facing challenges at present. We most especially remember Blake and Jaxon Daniells and hold them close in our hearts.

Across The Curriculum
STAYING SAFE ONLINE
As the holidays approach and our children spend more time online, we want to reinforce the crucial lessons discussed during our Daniel Morcombe unit.
We covered how to stay safe on the internet, social media, and online gaming by identifying "safe people" and knowing who to report to when they don't feel safe. We also explored the serious topic of cyberbullying, helping students understand what it is, its impact, and how to prevent it.
These sessions are designed to repeat and strengthen the messages students hear at home and at school, further developing their skills to navigate the digital world responsibly. For more resources and support, we encourage you to visit the eSafety Commissioner's website, Australia's independent online safety regulator, which offers valuable videos and discussion prompts for families.

Thank you for your continued partnership in ensuring our children's safety both in school and at home.
Religious Life of the School
From the Assistant Principal: Religious Education
Ms Georgia Moloney
End of Term Reflections
As we conclude the term, let us take a moment to give thanks for all we have achieved as a school community. The end of term is a time for students, staff, and families to rest, recharge, and prepare for the term ahead. It is also an opportunity to reflect on how we can continue to live out our mission as a Catholic school, striving to reflect the values of compassion, respect, responsibility and kindness in all that we do.
During the upcoming break, I encourage you to spend time together as a family in prayer and reflection, giving thanks for the term that has passed and asking for God’s blessings for the term ahead.
A Prayer of Gratitude
Loving God, We thank You for the gift of this term. For the learning, the friendships, and the growth we have experienced. Bless our students, staff, and families with rest and renewal. May we continue to walk in Your light and bring Your love to all we meet. Amen.
Thank you for your continued support of our school. May you enjoy a restful and joyful holiday break, and we look forward to welcoming you all back next term for another wonderful chapter in our school’s journey of faith and learning.
Finance News
Important Information regarding how School fee payments show on the Parent Orbit App | With the introduction of the new Parent Orbit App, parents are now able to easily see where they are up to with their school fee payments. However, an important thing to note is that any payments that have been made in the past 2 weeks may not show in the App, as they need to be processed to your account after the payment is received and this is done in bulk every week or two. If it is longer than 2 weeks since you have made a payment and it is still not showing on the Orbit App, please contact the Finance Officer, Sandra Adams, for it to be looked into. Sorry for any confusion this has caused.
Term 3 Fees | Term 3 fees are now overdue. If you have not paid in full, and do not have a payment plan in place, please contact the Finance Officer, Sandra Adams, to discuss options.

Newsletter Report Week 9 By Memphis-Belle | Firstly I have noticed that the eating area has no rubbish present on the floor, so keep up the good work in keeping it clean.
I would like to thank Mrs Gibson for getting all the balls off the roof over the weekend. It was very kind of her to do this in her free time.
Just remember tomorrow is a student free day, so remember to help Mum & Dad around the house.
Lastly remember that Father's Day is on Sunday, so make sure to spoil with lots & lots of love. Have an amazing weekend.
Newsletter Report Week 10 By Khloe | Hello parents and families of St. Annes.
Firstly I’d like to start off by thanking Taylah’s Dad for coming in to chat with us about electrical safety. I’d also like to thank everyone who wore yellow or orange shirts today for RUOK day and say no to bullying day.
I’ve also noticed that we are not putting our hand up or quieting down when the bell rings, we are wasting our learning time and our playtime.
I’d also like to remind everyone to say thank you to Salena, the new tuckshop lady, for making us nice food.
And lastly I’d like to remind the students who play on the big oval to wait for all the sports captains to put the bins out and to be polite when asking for equipment.
Thanks for reading.

Ergon Visit for Electrical Safety Week
Last Friday, Year 6 were visited by Ben and Clayton from Ergon for Electrical Safety Week. They spoke to us about electrical safety, being safe around powerlines and in storms and when using farm equipment. We learnt to stay 10m away from fallen powerlines and never put metal into electrical devices. We also learnt about step potential and to shuffle your feet if you have to get out of a car that has hit a powerline. We also got to see the cherry picker lift Clayton 15m in the air. We thank Ergon for the informative presentation and visit.
