From The Principal
Dear Parents and Students,
As we wrap up the term, let's take a moment to reflect on the values that define our school community. By embracing our school values; respect, responsibility, compassion, and kindness, we endeavour to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all. Please continued to reinforce these values over the break.
Enjoy your kids and the learnings they bring to relationships. They are the eyes of the world and take in so much.
May God bless you and keep you safe during the break.
We look forward to welcoming you back refreshed and ready to learn in the new term.

Important Information From Acting Sergeant Steve Smith
FROM ACTING SERGEANT STEVE SMITH | A very brief note to everyone to advise that some property offenders in the Mackay Whitsunday police district are clearly beginning to target schools more consistently. This is happening in rural and city locations.
For the information of all in school communities, if suspicious activities are observed, please report to police through the correct channels.
Policelink (non-urgent matters) – 131 444 or Triple Zero (000) if the matter is urgent.
QPS is very motivated to identify those causing the problems – please don’t feel hesitant to report any suspicious activity.

Student Led Interviews
You’re invited to Student Led Conferences. This means that your child will discuss (with teacher help) their strengths, challenges and goals for each subject area.
These conferences will finish at the end of this week. Your child is very excited to be part of this process and is looking forward to sharing their progress with you.
Thank you for your ongoing support in your child's learning.
Which One Doesn’t Belong?
The goal for ‘Which One Doesn’t Belong?’ is to improve mathematical reasoning.
There can be more than one reason why one image, shape, number or object doesn’t belong — the focus is on explaining the reasoning. All answers are accepted as long as the reasoning is true. Look at the picture of the following numbers.
Which one out of the four numbers doesn’t belong?
How do you know this? Can you find more than one way of explaining this?

From the Assistant Principal: Religious Education
Ms Georgia Moloney
End of Term Message
As we conclude this term, we reflect on the many blessings we have received as a school community. Together, we have grown in faith, knowledge, and friendship, guided by the teachings of Christ. We give thanks to God for the opportunities to learn, serve, and celebrate each other's gifts.
Let us continue to embrace our call to be a light in the world, showing kindness and compassion to those around us. As we enter the holiday break, may it be a time of rest, renewal, and family connection. May the peace of Christ be with you and your loved ones.
We look forward to welcoming you all back next term, refreshed and ready for the journey ahead.

During the celebration, students will share prayers and reflections on how we can all contribute to caring for the world around us. We warmly invite you to join us in the hall for this meaningful Assembly at 8:40 am.
Finance News
Important Information regarding how School fee payments show on the Parent Orbit App | With the introduction of the new Parent Orbit App, parents are now able to easily see where they are up to with their school fee payments. However, an important thing to note is that any payments that have been made in the past 2 weeks may not show in the App, as they need to be processed to your account after the repayment is received and this is done in bulk every week or two. If it is longer than 2 weeks since you have made a payment and it is still not showing on the Orbit App, please contact the Finance Officer, Sandra Adams for it to be looked into. Sorry for any confusion this has caused.
Connections P.D.
On our recent student free day the staff of St Anne's had the opportunity to participate in professional development called Connections, led by our Senior Regional Indigenous Education Liaison Officer, Mrs Karlie Tatchell and Yuwi Custodian, Ms Melanie Kemp from Younga Yarns.
Staff were shown local significant areas and reflected upon diversity and truth telling from a First Nations perspective. We thank Ms Kemp for her valuable time and sharing knowledge with us as we continue our journey of reconciliation, honouring those that have walked the path before us.

SWAP IT - Lunchbox Tips

Year 5 Camp
Last week Year 5 set off to Airlie Beach for camp. Our excited future school leaders set off on Wednesday morning and after a quick pit stop in Proserpine, we made our way to Big4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort. After a quick bag drop our excited adventurers hit the water park. We had an early night in the bunkhouse because day two began early with a boat ride to the Great Barrier Reef. Along the way we saw sail boats, cruise ships, dolphins and even a whale. It was a long and bumpy ride, but the students showed a lot of resilience with many facing fears they may not have known they had. Once we hit our first anchorage our students worked with Senior Reef Guides to count key species in the reef to check the health of the eco-system. Our students saw all kinds of species including Parrot Fish, Butterfly Fish, Maori Wrasse and more! After our snorkel adventure we set sail and headed out to Whitehaven Beach. We enjoyed lunch on the beach and played around in the water and on the sand. We had an action packed night when we got back to home base with a games night organised by Mr Oches to help challenge the students and work together in new groups. On our final day we went mini-golfing and had a quick pack up before heading home. Our 5's left tired but ready to put their new found leadership skills to work. I am so proud of how brave the 5's were and how much they all pushed themselves throughout the experience.

Student Leadership
Newsletter Report By Lizzy | I would like to start by congratulating St Anne's on how well we have been doing at lunch time. But remember when the bell rings you need to put your hand up and stop talking because most of us have been doing great. Lately it has been getting really hot so make sure you wear your hat and sunscreen every day, especially on sports day, but other than that you have been doing great with everything. Keep the great work up St Anne's. Thank you.
