From The Principal
At St Anne’s Catholic Primary School, inspired by the charism of Catherine McAuley, we are committed to providing a nurturing environment where students have the opportunity to grow academically, spiritually, and socially.
Our Mission Statement demands that all we do must be rooted in the teachings of Jesus, fostering respect, compassion, a sense of responsibility and life-giving relationships. To fully live out our mission we must strive to empower our students to reach their full potential as compassionate, contributing members of society who are reflective. By encouraging reflection and recognizing the importance of encouraging words, we aim to cultivate students who are not only academically successful but also empathetic and responsible citizens.
Many thanks to all those who were able to join their child’s classes on Monday morning, we really appreciated your presence. Thank you very much for your time.
If you are able, we ask that you join us this coming Thursday for our major celebration of Catholic Education Week. As well, we have opened our tuckshop ordering system for parents to order food for themselves on Thursday; please take advantage of this.

School Fee Advice #4
Dear Parents and Carers,
Please find attached Advice #4, developed to inform our Catholic Education families of the school fee structure, from 2025 onwards. Previous Advice pieces outlined the new Federal Government Funding model (Gonski model), the impact on School Fees for Catholic Schools, and the need to align with the Federal Government’s means-tested Capacity to Contribute assessment of the school community. As outlined in Advice #4, CEDR School Fees will be presented as an “All-Inclusive Fee”, rather than the previous school fees model of Tuition Fees, plus several school-based levies and charges.

The Good News
From the Assistant Principal: Religious Education
Ms Georgia Moloney
Catholic Education Week
Catholic Education Week 2024 will be celebrated during Week 3 from Monday 22nd July to Friday 26th July. This year’s theme, "Communities of Faith, Hope, and Love," invites us to reflect on the core values that bind us together as a Catholic community.
Throughout the week, we will engage in various activities and events that highlight the importance of faith, hope, and love in our daily lives and in our interactions with each other. These activities aim to strengthen our community bonds and deepen our understanding of what it means to be part of a faith-filled community.
We look forward to your participation and support in making Catholic Education Week a memorable and enriching experience for all. Let us come together to celebrate and embody the spirit of faith, hope, and love in everything we do.
St Anne’s Feast Day- Thursday 25th July
We warmly invite you to join us for the School Mass of St Anne and Joachim, which will be held on Thursday at 9am in the Church. This special Mass is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together in prayer and celebration.
As the patron saint of our school, St Anne holds a special place in our hearts. Together with St Joachim, the parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary, they exemplify strong family values and deep devotion. Their example reminds us of the importance of nurturing our own families with love, faith, and commitment.
We hope you can join us for this celebration and share in the spirit of our school community.

St Anne’s Family Mass- Sunday 28th July
The St Anne’s community is invited to join us for the Sunday Mass at 9 am at St. Michael's Church this Sunday. This is a wonderful opportunity for our school and parish communities to come together in worship and prayer.
Ms. Moloney is seeking volunteers from Year 3 to help with the readings and prayers during the Mass. This is a special chance for our students to actively participate and contribute to the service. If your child is able to assist, please contact Ms Moloney at georgia_moloney@rok.catholic.edu.au
We look forward to seeing you there and sharing this time together.
Open Classrooms Monday 22nd July
On Monday, St Anne's commenced their Catholic Education Week Celebrations with Open Classrooms. It was pleasing to see so many parents visiting the classrooms and some new families doing a tour of the school with Mr Ballinger-Oches.

Student Leadership
Newsletter Report By Lizzy | I would like to start by congratulating all the students that went to Challenge Cup in Yeppoon. Every student gave their best and played all the games perfectly and fairly. I hope you had a great time. I have seen lots of people playing fairly and keeping their hats on because it is important that you wear your hat at all times. You have been doing great but I have seen lots of rubbish in the undercroft area and even a little bit in the playground. We cannot have rubbish at St Anne's, especially in the playground and undercroft area. Other than that you have done great, so keep doing what you are doing St Anne's.
