Celebrating Our Core Values: Catholic Education Week
(22 July t0 26 July)
As Catholic Education Week approaches, let's take this opportunity to reflect on the core values that define our school community: respect, responsibility, compassion, and kindness. These values are the foundation of a strong Catholic education and guide our interactions with students, families, and each other.
Throughout the week, we'll be celebrating and exploring these values through engaging classroom activities.
Here's a look at what we have planned:
Monday 22 July 2024:
- Open Morning (8:40am – 9:40am): Parents are invited to join their children in the classroom to see these values in action!
- Coffee Van Onsite: Purchase refreshments throughout the morning.
Thursday 25 July 2024:
- School Mass (9:00am): Join us for a special celebratory Mass
- Special Guest Speaker: Following Mass, Sr. Sally will address the student and parent body regarding the Works of Mercy.
- Family Picnic (10:40am): Celebrate Catholic Education Week with a fun-filled picnic for the whole family!
- Free Coffee & Drinks: Enjoy complimentary coffee/drink from the coffee van – staff and parents only
Beyond these activities, let's make a conscious effort to embody these values in all our interactions. By actively embracing respect, responsibility, compassion, and kindness, we create a thriving school community where students can excel academically and develop strong moral compasses.
Let's work together to make this a memorable Catholic Education Week!
We look forward to celebrating with you!

Last term, report cards were posted on Parent Lounge. Contained in this report card is information in relation to your child’s progress during Semester One.
When you receive your child's report card it’s important to take the time to read to them the comments the teacher has written and discuss these comments together. Praise them for the effort and achievements they have made throughout the past two terms and discuss successes they have had over the course of the year so far.

Sports News - Challenge Cup
What do you get when you combine netball, footy, friends, and fun?
Great memories formed at Challenge Cup! Students from St Anne’s, St Joseph’s and MacKillop and the rest of the Rockhampton Diocese travelled to Yeppoon for three days of action packed rugby league and netball.
The carnival consisted of players from all over the Rockhampton Diocese with a total of twenty-four football teams in the carnival.
The players from netball and rugby league showed true St Anne’s Spirit - despite the tough competition, they displayed courage under fire, strength under pressure and grace in the face of really hard circumstances . Amazing sportsmanship!
Congratulations to Mackintyre W for being awarded the Coaches Award for the St Joseph’s/Mackillop/St Anne’s Rugby League Team.
