T1 W2 Newsletter 2024
From The Principal
Dear parents and carers,
The unmistakable promise of a brand new year at St Anne’s Catholic Primary School has taken hold. We stand on the precipice of a year brimming with potential, a blank canvas awaiting the vibrant strokes of learning, laughter, and shared stories. But before we set brush to canvas, we need to be mindful of the foundation upon which our school stands: faith and the guiding light of Catholic values.
We are not simply an academic institution; we are a family, a tapestry woven with threads of respect, responsibility, kindness, and compassion. These are not mere words on a page, but vibrant threads that pulse through every corner of our community.
- Respect: We hold each other in high regard, recognizing the inherent dignity in every child, every teacher, every member of our diverse mosaic. This respect transcends differences, building bridges of understanding and fostering an atmosphere of inclusivity where everyone feels seen and valued.
- Responsibility: We empower our students to become active participants in their own journeys. They are not passengers on this ship of learning, but captains, navigating their own course with dedication and integrity. This sense of responsibility spills beyond the classroom, urging them to be stewards of our world and champions of positive change.
- Kindness: We believe that kindness is the wind that fills our sails, propelling us forward with empathy and generosity. Our halls echo with acts of care, small and large, reminding us that a simple gesture can ripple outward, lighting the way for others.
- Compassion: At the heart of our Catholic identity lies compassion, a recognition of the interconnectedness of all beings. We share not only joys but also vulnerabilities, and this shared human experience compels us to reach out, to offer a helping hand, to stand in solidarity with those facing hardship.
These are not just values we teach; they are the rhythm of our school life. Woven into the curriculum, celebrated in daily interactions, and embodied in the countless acts of service that ripple outward from our community, these values are the guiding stars on our journey.
Dear Lord,
Grant us renewed purpose as we embrace this new school year. Let respect guide our steps, responsibility fuel our journey, kindness fill our sails, and compassion be our anchor. May we find success not only in grades, but in the ripples of good we send into the world.
Amen.
With heartfelt anticipation and shared excitement for the year ahead.
